Jodi Knox
is a motivational, energetic physiologist and massage therapist
with the ability to effectively convey her expertise in exercise
and body mechanics to each individual client. She holds a
master’s and bachelor’s degree in exercise science
from Southern Connecticut State University and is a certified massage
therapist. Her experience in exercise physiology goes back
12 years, with five years of experience in personal training and
massage. She is a self-declared “fitness nut” who
chose this profession because she wanted to share her passion and
energy with others.
Jodi uses the guidelines established by the American College
of Sports Medicine when developing personal fitness programs
to help clients achieve their goals. All services are provided
in clients’ homes or in a private studio.
For in-home services, Jodi uses whatever equipment each client
has to its maximum effectiveness. Depending on the client,
that might mean a full gym, or it might mean equipment as simple
as a treadmill, ankle weights, dumbbells, and a balance ball.
Jodi’s services are unique in that she combines personal
training and fitness with massage and relaxation methods. She
is certified in deep tissue, Swedish, sports, and Reiki massage,
as well as acupressure; additionally, she teaches Hatha yoga. You
can sweat and relax in the same session! Services are highly
tailored to each person’s needs and preferences.
Fitness is a constantly changing feature of the human body. Aches,
pains, injuries, age, nutrition, and lifestyle are all factors
that influence health and fitness. Jodi’s unique combination
of credentials and experience offer you a coach with the knowledge
and skills to help you reach your goals.

Featured Success Story
 |
I worked with a 45-year-old venture capitalist
who was recovering from back surgery when I met him. Prior
to surgery, he had been very active in playing golf and
tennis, but had not been able to get back into that since
the surgery. With some strength training and stretching
and a little massage, within a year he was playing golf
and tennis again with no residual effects. |
